Celebrating Priya’s Birthday at Asha Kiran Orphanage

Birthdays are probably the most memorable days of our life. The blessings and well wishes we receive make us feel special. To make a child feel special, the time you take out from your daily life is more important than any gift.
With the intention to celebrate Priya’s birthday, team Hopes and Smiles reached Asha Kiran. The girls were very much excited and welcomed us with a smile on their faces. Some of the volunteers were meeting the kids for the very first time, but within a short span of time they became friends. As they saw we had balloons, they started playing with them, the kids helped us inflate them too. Then, they started sketching on the balloons, which was something they never tried before. They were really engrossed into it and had a great time. You could see the creative side of them unleash as they created some master-pieces. Then the cake cutting celebration took place. The smiles on their faces said it all. After that we had some songs played, to which they danced till they were out of breath.
We took some pictures to cherish these moments. After that it was good bye time. Priya was really happy and said she enjoyed her birthday and was glad that we came over. She thanked us while we were returning back. We bid them good bye with some amount of tiredness but a huge smile on our faces. We finally achieved what we wanted: – To bring a smile on the faces of the kids and make them feel loved and special on their special day.
