Mamata Sarangi is the director of Benzfab Technologies and a role model for young women anywhere. She brings in managerial acumen and a drive to make a difference at Hopes and Smiles. Her curiosity to discover new things has helped her imbibe an interest in the world’s heritage and culture. She helps out at various non-profit organizations and believes in giving back to the society by spending time on social projects. She, and her family, have hosted travelers from over 20 nationalities at her place, as part of her mission to spread more awareness about Odisha through cultural exchange. We are glad to have such a versatile person on our team.
An NIT Rourkela and XIMB alumnus, he understands the importance of giving back to the society and uses education as a medium to do that. He has a vision to change the way students learn and JAG Educate, an ed-tech startup founded by him is only the first step towards it. Having worked in a variety of industries enables him to bring fresh perspectives to teaching which makes learning under him fun. He has taught many underprivileged students and helped them realize their true potential.
Sulovna works as an analyst at Goldman Sachs. She believes that helping the needy is an imperative process. Despite a busy schedule, she makes time to go and visit and help various local non profit organizations. She believes that the perception of donation by people needs to be changed for the better. Being a young individual herself, she seeks to ease the process of giving for other individuals.
Arpit Kumar Bhal
Arpit is an engineer by mind and a sportsman by heart. A genuine and a compassionate person, he is the operating wheel of Hopes and Smiles. He is responsible for connecting with organizations for underprivileged children, corporates, philanthropists and volunteers from across the city and bring them on board. With a well connected network of students, Arpit aims to positively create an impact in the city through this initiative.
Simran, a literature graduate and an animal lover, believes in converting plans into actions. She connects Hopes and Smiles with potential donors who wish to bring a change. She is the co-founder of JAG Educate, an Ed-tech start-up, which is working to make education accessible through ‘Leaders of Change’ initiative. She understands the importance of education, and therefore makes it a point to discuss with kids how essential education is.
Namoona is an Engineer with love for dancing. Her affable nature makes her a favourite among children. She is responsible for all the activities in the all-girl orphanages that are connected with Hopes and Smiles. She is a trained dancer and she looks forward to using her skills to make an impact. One of the first activities of Hopes and Smiles was started by her in form of giving dance lessons to the children at orphanages.
